This co-pay covers trip costs on approved manufacturer warranty service visits. Approved parts and labor are then covered by the manufacturer. Please see limited warranty information for additional information about coverage.
Standard service fees and labor will be charged if the issue is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Co-pay does not apply to customers who have prepaid service and delivery packages.
Minimum charge*
This is the minimum charge for a technician to arrive and determine what work needs to be completed. Some repairs can be completed during this time, but additional labor will generally apply after diagnostics are complete.
Service appointments are scheduled for a specific day. Due to the nature of backyard hot tub repairs and to allow for efficient routing, we do not provide specific arrival times. Customers do not need to be home for service when access to the spa is available.
Service fee is not charged on return visits needed to complete an already diagnosed service within 90 days.
New issues with the spa will be subject to a new service fee.
Labor is charged at $100 per half hour after the initial diagnosis.
*A credit card on file is required to schedule an appointment for service. The Hot Tub Store does not include service costs in the sale price of hot tubs or swim spas. All warranty co-pay fees, service fees, labor, and parts pricing are subject to change. Fees may vary for brands not regularly sold and serviced by The Hot Tub Store. A $149 cancellation fee may be applied if less than 48 hours’ notice is provided for cancellation.
This fee in addition to the standard service fee allows for a specific four-hour window of time for arrival. With this added fee customers can choose to be the first or last call of the day or request a specific technician if available.
Service tiers are determined by distance/drive time from The Hot Tub Store showroom locations. Each tier outside Tier 1 is subject to an additional $25 travel surcharge for warranty and non-warranty services.
Our Service Scheduling Team can provide tier charges for your location at the time of appointment scheduling.
Tier charge does not apply to customers who have prepaid service and delivery packages.
If your hot tub isn’t functioning perfectly, here are some steps to check before calling for service.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, contact us for service. We’re here to help you enjoy your hot tub or swim spa!
1. Clean your filters thoroughly. Even if they appear clean, they could be restricting water flow. Consider having an extra set of filters on hand.
2. Remove filters and see if the issue persists. If the issue stops, your filters likely need more cleaning.
3. Rotate jet faces to adjust pressure.
4. Reset your breakers or GFCI plug.
5. Check and tighten drain caps; check to see if gaskets are intact.
6. Test and balance water chemistry.
7. Ensure the water level is above all jets.
8. Verify spa control settings and refer to the owner’s manual.
Your Watkins Wellness® brand hot tub from Hot Spring® Spas, Caldera® Spas, Freeflow Spas®, or Endless™ Pools comes with a manufacturer’s defect warranty that covers parts and labor for specified periods of time. This depends on the brand, collection, model, and part or accessory in question. The only cost that would be encountered with warranty repairs is a warranty co-pay that helps us recuperate the cost of sending a certified technician to your home. Any parts and labor covered under the manufacturer’s warranty that are utilized to make the repairs will be billed directly to the manufacturer. Ongoing repairs that cannot be completed in one visit are covered under the initial co-pay. If a new unrelated warranty issue occurs during the warranty period, a co-pay for that visit will be charged to send a technician out again.
At this time, we do not offer extended warranty options. Please check back at a later date to see if this is a possibility for your hot tub.
The diversity and complexity of spa equipment means that it is extremely difficult, and at times, unsafe for repairs to be explained by phone. Investing in having the spa serviced by one of our certified technicians means that you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that it was repaired professionally and by an official Watkins Wellness® service center.
We do not install parts purchased from a third party because we cannot verify authenticity and quality. We aim to provide competitive pricing on our factory-direct parts and certified technician labor.
To help serve customers throughout Northern California, we schedule our technicians for day-of service; we do not schedule them for a particular time of day. This allows us to plan their workday to be most efficient and to ensure that all appointments can be handled without cancellations or delays. In most cases, you do not need to be home for your backyard spa to be serviced.
In most cases, you do not need to be home for our technicians to service your spa. As long as there is access to the spa and it is not obstructed by a deck or inaccessible due to unrestrained pets in your backyard, we obtain your permission to enter the property and complete the service. This allows you to get your spa back in great shape without having to take time out of your busy schedule to be available. Our goal is to get your spa functioning properly without adding extra stress to your life.

We sell genuine parts for Hot Spring®, Caldera®, Freeflow Spas®, and Endless™ Pools brand spas and can ship them to you for a small shipping charge. Returns must be approved before any refund can be issued, except for electronic components, which cannot be returned. Electronic components come with a one-year warranty from the manufacturer.
